I have years of experience in the United States and in the United Kingdom designing dynamic curricula that incorporate diverse musics from around the world. If your educational institution is looking to incorporate ethnomusicology and musics from outside Euro American music performance, I am available to assist in crafting a bespoke programme that best serves your students.

I have experience working with professional musicians to effectively and ethically incorporate sounds from diverse locations around the work into their musical outputs. I always start by helping artists craft their vision and then find sounds to give shape to the stories and narratives they want to tell. I am available to assist with researching specific music and sounds and writing a script that outlines what your music wishes to convey. If you collaborate with other musicians, I further am available to assist with all aspects of the process of sharing your vision to your collaborators and facilitating conversations around any necessary reshaping of this vision.
I also have experience leading pre-concert discussions before performances. I most often enjoy interviewing or speaking with the artists on stage to generate a conversation about the work to be performed. This allows me to foreground the voices and experiences of the artists themselves, and I simply serve in a curatorial role.

As a teacher with fifteen years of experience in the classroom, I also am available to design and lead workshops in ethnomusicology and approaches to music-making found outside Euro American classical and popular music. Please see photos below from some recent workshops given at Middle Schools (Key Stage 3 equivalent) in the United States.
